The reliability of C-VAT® is published and documented in the article: ‘Do Organizational Cultures Replicate National Cultures? Isomorphism, Rejection and Reciprocal Opposition in the Corporate Values of Three Countries’.
Two trials with 10,000 repetitions produced nearly identical error variance distributions.
Mathematical enumeration of all possible combinations of rankings from one to four for the 16 scales produced similar results. The observed within scale variance (i.e., between item variance) for each of the 16 items was divided by the modal expected variance of the 16 items. The ratio was subtracted from 1, and the square root of the result was found to obtain reliability coefficients, which ranged from.642 to .926.
In other words, C-VAT is well supported by rigorous, stringent and factual statistical testing.
